Wide Exposure at KKH – Singapore’s Main Pediatric Teaching Hospital
The main training site for the SingHealth Pediatric Residency Program is at KKH – Singapore’s only integrated hospital for women and children, and one of the largest children’s hospitals regionally. KKH is an 827-bed Joint Commission International (JCI)-accredited hospital with a 365-bed dedicated children’s facility. Benefit from the wide exposure and case-mix at KKH, which is equipped with Pediatric ICU, Neonatal ICU and Singapore’s first children’s Emergency Department. It is also a major pediatric teaching hospital affiliated with the local medical schools.

Each Resident is matched to a mentor for the duration of their Residency program to nurture and develop an Individualized Learning Plan and maximize training.

With competency-based, structured assessments and regular feedback by mentors on your progress, you would be equipped to learn effectively. Program features such as continuity clinics and educational conferences are also in place to enhance your training as a pediatrician.
Continuity Clinics to Enhance Pediatric Training
By participating in continuity clinics, you can enhance your knowledge about the development of common pediatric conditions, through the various ages. Residents can also take part in research projects and educational conferences to hone your medical knowledge and research skills.
The SingHealth Pediatric Residency Program is a three-year robust training program.
Residents will be exposed to a diverse range of training opportunities including grand rounds, grey case conferences, XR conferences, topic reviews, core didactic lectures and bedside teaching.
Upon completion of the program, Residents will embark on a two to three-year general academic or subspecialty fellowship training to prepare you to become pediatric subspecialists (subject to individual subspecialty training requirements) or hospitalists
