About the Programme

The SingHealth Paediatric Medicine Residency Programme seeks to train exemplary paediatricians with up-to-date medical knowledge, excellent clinical skill sets and attitudes to care for their young patients, from birth till adolescence. 

The robust six-year training programme offers a well-planned training curriculum that comprises an optimal mix of clinical activities, didactic lectures and Quality Improvement (QI) or research opportunities in a well-rounded and nurturing learner-centric environment. 

As a Paediatrician, you play an essential role in the development and wellbeing of the next generation. Wide Exposure at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH) – Singapore’s Main Paediatric Teaching Hospital

The main training site for the SingHealth Paediatric Residency Programme is at KKH – Singapore’s only integrated hospital for women and children, and one of the largest children’s hospitals regionally. KKH is an 827-bed Joint Commission International (JCI)-accredited hospital with a 365-bed dedicated children’s facility. Benefit from the wide exposure and case-mix at KKH, which is equipped with Paediatric ICU, Neonatal ICU and Singapore’s first children’s Emergency Department. It is also a major paediatric teaching hospital affiliated with the local medical schools.

Continuity Clinics to Enhance Paediatric Training

By participating in continuity clinics, you can enhance your knowledge about the development of common paediatric conditions, through the various ages. Residents can also take part in research projects and educational conferences to hone your medical knowledge and research skills.
