The Curriculum
The SingHealth Residency Emergency Medicine Program is an intensive, structured 4-year training program, designed to groom you into a clinically-competent emergency physician with well-rounded exposure to clinical research, medical education and administration.
Upon graduation from our program, you will complete a further one year of advanced training before your obtaining specialist accreditation as an Emergency Physician with the Ministry of Health’s Specialists Accreditation Board.

Clinician-Scientist Track
Our globally renowned Clinician-Scientists and research faculty will mentor and equip you with the skills and knowledge to become a competent clinician researcher. Enjoy the best of clinical residency training and research skills development as you embark on a career to spearhead the delivery of emergency care to patients.
Career Prospects
As an Associate Consultant, you can choose to practice in a tertiary academic medical centre (SGH, KKH or CGH), regional health care institution (SengKang Hospital), or enrol in a clinical fellowship program in Pediatric Emergency Medicine with KKH Children Emergency Medicine.
As a Consultant Emergency Physician, there will also be opportunities to specialize in areas like Emergency Cardiac Care, Emergency Trauma Care, Disaster Medicine, Medical Toxicology and others.
As you gain more experience, you will be expected to provide organizational and administrative leadership for emergency departments.
